Treviso Airport (TSF) is the airport that Ryanair and Wizz Air sell as “Venice Treviso”, but it sits 3 km from Treviso and about 40 km by road from Venice. For one week in November we found 601 rental offers from 22 companies here. Seven of the 10 companies we recommend have their desks in the arrivals hall, and Locauto asks for no deposit, only a symbolic 0,01 EUR authorisation on a debit or credit card. This guide to car rental at Treviso Airport covers each of the 10 companies rated 8.0 or higher, debit and Revolut cards, deposits, prices by month, the difference between Treviso and Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), and what to know before you drive into Venice, Treviso or the Dolomites.
Data last verified: October 2026. Written by Simas Krasaitis, founder of Autorentwiz and former head of car rental at ADCRent.

Car rental at Treviso Airport: the 10 companies we recommend
Treviso is a small airport with a single terminal, and that works in your favour: seven of our 10 companies have a desk a few steps from baggage claim. To make our list, a company needs a rating of 8.0 or higher from verified renters and a separate score for its staff at this airport. That rule removed 12 of the 22 companies, including Enterprise, National and Flizzr, which have no agent score here yet. Of the customers who asked us about Treviso, 54% had only a debit card, and six of the 10 companies accept one. Our car rental in Italy page compares Treviso with the other Italian airports.

Car rental deposits at Treviso Airport by company

Locauto is the clear choice on deposit: it asks for no deposit on any car class, only a symbolic 0,01 EUR authorisation on a debit or a credit card at pick-up. Maggiore blocks 200 EUR on many of its cars and about 310-500 EUR on the rest, and it takes debit cards. Noleggiare drops from 600-1,000 EUR to 190-390 EUR when you take its own zero-excess cover, and Sicily By Car drops to 100 EUR with its cover. The highest deposits are at the two shuttle companies on Via Aeroporto: RentSmart24 (650-750 EUR) and Rental4leisure (850-1,450 EUR), both credit card only.
Where are the car rental desks at Treviso Airport?
The in-terminal desks are on the ground floor, in the arrivals hall. Walk out of the arrivals area and turn right: Locauto, Alamo and the other brands share the rental area there, according to Alamo’s Treviso Airport page. Noleggiare asks you to follow the car rental signs. The three companies outside the terminal work differently:
- M-RENT has its office inside a car dealership on Via Noalese 75, about 400 m west of the terminal. If the office is closed when you return, park in front of the dealership and leave the key in the key box
- RentSmart24 uses the free ParkinGO shuttle. Cross the road to car park F, or take the walkway over the road, and walk through the car park keeping left of the yellow barriers. The office is on Via Aeroporto in Quinto di Treviso, about 2 km away
- Rental4leisure is at the same address. Call the number in your voucher when you land, and the free shuttle comes to collect you
Autorentwiz tip: many of our customers write “Venice Treviso”, “Venice airport” or just “Venice” when they ask for a car, and mean different airports. Your ticket shows the code: TSF is Treviso, VCE is Venice Marco Polo. A car booked at the wrong one is a 25-minute drive away.
Late arrivals and opening hours
If you land in the evening, check the closing time before you choose. M-RENT, Maggiore and Rental4leisure close at 19:00, Locauto and Alamo at 20:00, Noleggiare and Keddy at 21:00, and SIXT at 21:30. RentSmart24 is open from 07:00 to 23:00, but it adds a 75 EUR night fee to pick-ups after 23:01 and asks you to complete online check-in for any pick-up between 22:00 and 07:00. Sicily By Car and Noleggiare hold your car for 2 hours after the booked time, Keddy for 29 minutes and most others for about an hour. Add your flight number to the booking.
Returning the car: the nearest petrol station
The 24-hour Vega Carburanti station on Via Adige is about 1.3 km east of the terminal, on the road from Treviso, so it is on your way back if you stay in the city. The Beyfin station on Via Noalese, about 900 m west, is closer to the shuttle companies but is staffed only 07:30-12:30 and 14:30-19:00 on weekdays and 07:30-12:30 on Saturday, and closes on Sunday. Alamo lets you return outside opening hours: park on the airport grounds and drop the key in the box at the desk, which is open from 06:00 to 23:30.

Can I rent a car at Treviso Airport with a debit card?
Yes. Six of the 10 companies we recommend accept a debit card, and all six have their desk in the terminal: Locauto (no deposit, only a 0,01 EUR card authorisation), Maggiore (200-500 EUR), SIXT (about 465-575 EUR on small cars), Alamo (500 EUR), Noleggiare (600-1,000 EUR) and Keddy (800 EUR). M-RENT, RentSmart24, Sicily By Car and Rental4leisure take credit cards only. At the desk you need a physical Visa or Mastercard issued in the main driver’s name, with the card number printed on the front. Locauto, Alamo, Maggiore and Noleggiare do not take Maestro. Our guide to renting a car in Italy with a debit card explains what the desk checks.
Renting a car at Treviso Airport with a Revolut card
None of the 10 companies we recommend at Treviso accepts cards from online-only banks such as Revolut: all of them list these cards as not accepted, and our search found no deals at Treviso where no card is needed at pick-up. The nearest option is at Venice Marco Polo Airport, 26 km away. Dolomiti Rent a Car, rated 9.3 there, lists cards from online-only banks as accepted, takes debit cards and set the deposit at 0 EUR on every offer in our search. There is no desk: send your flight number and arrival time on WhatsApp to the number in the voucher, and they tell you the meeting point. It works 08:00-18:30 on weekdays and only until 11:59 at weekends. Send us the offer on Messenger before you book, and we will confirm it works with your card.
Car rental at Treviso Airport with no deposit
At Treviso, Locauto asks for no deposit, only a symbolic 0,01 EUR authorisation on a debit or a credit card at its desk in arrivals. The lowest deposits among the others are Sicily By Car at 100 EUR and Noleggiare at 190-390 EUR, both only when you take the company’s own zero-excess cover, which costs more per day. At Venice Marco Polo, Dolomiti Rent a Car blocked 0 EUR on every offer in our search. Our guide to saving money on car rental shows how to weigh the deposit against the price.
Desk insurance or full coverage at Treviso Airport?
At Treviso the excess, the part of any damage you pay yourself, was about 1,200-3,000 EUR in our search, and up to about 4,800 EUR on the biggest Maggiore cars. You can cover it in two ways. Full coverage added online when you book costs less per day, but the desk still blocks the normal deposit, and if something happens you pay the company and claim the money back from the insurer. The company’s own cover, sold at the desk, costs more but removes the excess on the spot and usually cuts the deposit, as with Noleggiare (190-390 EUR) and Sicily By Car (100 EUR). If you already bought full coverage, you do not need the desk cover as well. Our pick-up tips show how to film the car and what to check at pick-up.
How much does car rental at Treviso Airport cost?
Across all offers, car rental at Treviso Airport costs about 28 EUR a day on average over the year. November is the cheapest month at about 18 EUR a day, 38% below the yearly average, and July the most expensive at about 45 EUR. October is almost as cheap as November. February costs about as much as August, and most rentals here last 5 to 7 days.

Autorentwiz tip: about 3 in 10 of our Treviso customers need an automatic. Treviso had fewer offers than Venice Marco Polo in our search, 601 against 815, so there is less choice. If you cannot drive a manual, book as early as you can, or ask us to compare both airports for your dates.

Treviso or Venice Marco Polo: which airport should you rent a car at?
If you are going to Venice itself, Marco Polo is closer: Piazzale Roma, where cars stop, is 13 km and about 17 minutes from Marco Polo, and about 40 km and 40 minutes from Treviso. If you are heading for the Dolomites, Treviso city or the Prosecco hills, Treviso is closer. The other difference is the companies. The same brands score clearly better at Treviso than at Marco Polo, in ratings from verified renters at each airport. Our guide to car rental at Venice Marco Polo Airport covers the companies there.
| What we compared | Treviso (TSF) | Venice Marco Polo (VCE) |
|---|---|---|
| Rental offers | 601 | 815 |
| Companies rated 8.0+ with an agent score | 10 | 11 |
| Where the desks are | Arrivals hall, 7 of our 10 companies | Level 3 of the P1 car park |
| No deposit with a debit card | Locauto (0,01 EUR card authorisation) | Dolomiti Rent a Car (0 EUR) and Locauto (0,01 EUR card authorisation) |
| Revolut and online-only bank cards | Not accepted | Dolomiti Rent a Car |
| Average price per day, November and July | about 18 and 45 EUR | about 15 and 43 EUR |
| Drive to Piazzale Roma, Venice | about 40 minutes | about 17 minutes |
| Same brand, rating at each airport | Sicily By Car 8.8, Noleggiare 8.7, Maggiore 8.7, SIXT 9.0 | Sicily By Car 7.8, Noleggiare 7.2, Maggiore 7.6, SIXT 8.0 |
At Marco Polo the rental desks are not in the terminal. According to Venice Airport’s car rental page, they are on level 3 of the P1 multi-storey car park, reached on foot from Arrivals through a covered walkway. Marco Polo has more offers, but only one more company passed our check there (11 against 10), and several brands that we recommend at Treviso fall below 8.0 at Marco Polo. A company is only as good as its branch, so compare the rating at the airport you fly into, not the brand. Flying into Milan instead? Read our guides to car rental at Bergamo Airport and Milan Malpensa Airport. For Verona and Lake Garda, our Verona Airport guide compares Verona with Marco Polo and Bergamo.
Driving from Treviso Airport: Venice, the ZTL and the Dolomites
The airport sits on Via Noalese, the main road into Treviso, with the A27 motorway towards Venice and Belluno a short drive east. Italian motorways have toll booths: take a ticket when you join and pay by card or cash when you leave, and keep out of the yellow Telepass lanes. The three things that catch renters out here are Venice, the Treviso ZTL and winter rules in the mountains.
Venice by car: where to park
Cars cannot enter the historic centre of Venice. The road ends at Piazzale Roma, where the city garage costs about 24-29 EUR a day. The Tronchetto car park nearby is about 21 EUR a day, with vaporetto line 2 into the city. The cheapest plan is to park in Mestre and take the train, about 10 minutes to Venezia Santa Lucia. In 2026, day visitors also paid an access fee of 5-10 EUR on 60 days between April and July. Guests who sleep in Venice do not pay it, and the 2027 dates are not yet published, so check the official Venice Access Fee site before you go.

Treviso: the ZTL inside the city walls
The historic centre of Treviso, inside the old walls, is a restricted traffic zone with cameras at the gates. Some gates work only at night and others all day, and a fine of about 83-332 EUR arrives weeks later through the rental company, plus its admin fee. Leave the car in a car park outside the walls, because the centre is small enough to walk. Staying inside the walls? Ask your hotel to register your number plate before you arrive. The Treviso ZTL portal shows the current gates.
Day trips: the Prosecco hills and the Dolomites
Valdobbiadene, at the heart of the UNESCO-listed Prosecco hills, is 37 km and about 50 minutes from the airport.

Cortina d’Ampezzo in the Dolomites is 137 km and about 2 hours away. From 15 November to 15 April, cars on mountain roads at risk of snow must have winter tyres or carry snow chains, so ask for them when you book a winter rental. Check that your company allows the car on the road you plan: M-RENT and Rental4leisure do not allow travel abroad, and SIXT does not allow Slovenia or Croatia. For Trieste, Slovenia or Istria, Trieste Airport is closer, and our Trieste Airport guide compares it with Treviso and Marco Polo.

What our customers say
Had a great experience with them. They communicate clearly, respond quickly and explain everything in an understandable way, and they recommended reliable car rental companies. Highly professional and trustworthy.
Zoltán, Google review
We spent a couple of days looking for the best option. After contacting Autorentwiz, within 20 minutes they offered an option with no deposit and no credit card needed, at the best price. At the rental desk I got a new car. Only the best reviews.

Yes. Six companies in the terminal, Locauto, Maggiore, SIXT, Alamo, Noleggiare and Keddy, take a debit card instead. Our search found no Treviso deals without any card at pick-up, so the main driver still needs a physical card of one kind or the other.
Yes, with Locauto. It asks for no deposit, only a symbolic 0,01 EUR authorisation on your debit or credit card at pick-up, at its desk in the arrivals hall. Sicily By Car drops to 100 EUR and Noleggiare to 190-390 EUR with their own zero-excess cover. At Venice Marco Polo, Dolomiti Rent a Car blocked 0 EUR in our search.
Yes, it is worth it, because the excess at Treviso was about 1,200-3,000 EUR in our search. Full coverage added to the online booking is the cheaper option, but the normal deposit stays and you claim any damage back from the insurer. The company’s cover at the desk costs more, removes the excess at once and usually lowers the deposit.
No. Treviso Airport (TSF), often sold as Venice Treviso, is about 40 km by road from Venice, near the city of Treviso. Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) is the main Venice airport, 13 km from Piazzale Roma. The two airports are about 26 km apart, so check the code on your ticket before you book a car.
For Venice itself, Marco Polo is closer. For Treviso, the Prosecco hills or the Dolomites, Treviso is closer. In our search the same brands were rated higher at Treviso: Sicily By Car 8.8 against 7.8 at Marco Polo, Noleggiare 8.7 against 7.2. Marco Polo has more offers, and Dolomiti Rent a Car there accepts Revolut cards.
In the arrivals hall on the ground floor: turn right when you leave the arrivals area. Locauto, SIXT, Sicily By Car, Alamo, Maggiore, Noleggiare and Keddy are there. M-RENT is in a car dealership 400 m away on Via Noalese, and RentSmart24 and Rental4leisure are about 2 km away with a free shuttle.
We found 22 companies at Treviso Airport. The 10 we recommend, all rated 8.0 or higher, are M-RENT, Locauto, SIXT, RentSmart24, Sicily By Car, Rental4leisure, Alamo, Maggiore, Noleggiare and Keddy.
No. The 10 companies we recommend at Treviso list cards from online-only banks, such as Revolut, as not accepted, and our search found no deals without a card at pick-up. At Venice Marco Polo Airport, Dolomiti Rent a Car lists them as accepted, with a 0 EUR deposit in our search.
RentSmart24 works until 23:00, with a 75 EUR night fee after 23:01. In the terminal, SIXT is open until 21:30, Noleggiare and Keddy until 21:00, Locauto until 20:00 and Alamo until 22:00 on Friday and Saturday.
Yes, with most companies. Locauto and Alamo allow 29 countries for free, Sicily By Car 19 for free, Maggiore 26 for 28.80 EUR, Noleggiare 32 for 42 EUR and RentSmart24 19 for 85.40 EUR. SIXT does not allow Slovenia or Croatia, and M-RENT and Rental4leisure do not allow travel abroad.
No. Cars cannot enter the historic centre. Park at Piazzale Roma (about 24-29 EUR a day) or Tronchetto (about 21 EUR a day), or park in Mestre and take the train to Venezia Santa Lucia, about 10 minutes.
November, at about 18 EUR a day on average across all offers, 38% below the yearly average of about 28 EUR. July is the most expensive month, at about 45 EUR a day.
From 15 November to 15 April, cars on mountain roads at risk of snow must have winter tyres or carry snow chains. Ask for winter tyres or chains when you book a winter rental from Treviso.
Through Autorentwiz: our search shows the same companies, cars and rental conditions as Discovercars, with our discount applied, so the same car costs less. At Treviso Airport we recommend 10 companies. You can also get a free consultation by car rental experts on Messenger, and the discount is the same either way.
For most travellers who land at Treviso, the airport is the easier choice: seven of the ten companies we recommend have their desk in the arrivals hall. The airport is 3 km from Treviso and about 40 km by road from Venice. Cars cannot enter Venice, and the garage at Piazzale Roma costs about 24 to 29 EUR a day. Treviso’s historic centre inside the city walls is a ZTL with camera gates.
Check that your ticket says TSF, because Venice Marco Polo (VCE) is a different airport about 26 km away. Most desks close between 19:00 and 21:30, and RentSmart24 works until 23:00. Keddy holds your car for only 29 minutes after the booked time. None of the ten companies we recommend accepts Revolut, while Dolomiti Rent a Car at Venice Marco Polo lists it as accepted.
At Treviso Airport, do not buy the rental company’s insurance at the desk just to lower the deposit. With that insurance, the deposit drops from 600-1,000 EUR to 190-390 EUR at Noleggiare and from 200-380 EUR to 100 EUR at Sicily By Car on small and medium cars. But the desk insurance costs more per day than full coverage bought online with your booking. Before you return the car, fill up at the 24-hour Vega Carburanti station on Via Adige, about 1.3 km east of the terminal. Film the car from all sides at pick-up and at return.
