All about car rent from the very beginning!
Hello and welcome to Autorentwiz – a car rental consultancy website! I am Simas – a car rental expert from Lithuania! I worked as a head of car rental at ADCRent since 2018. It was a fairly small company based in Vilnius airport, Lithuania and at its peak we had 150 cars to rent.
The company won multiple customer favourite awards from international platforms such as Rentalcars and Discovercars and customer satisfaction was the main selling point of ADCRent. During the pandemic the company transformed into a platform and was finally sold off by the end of 2024.
At the beginning of 2023 I started consulting travellers on social media regarding car rental questions. Since Discovercars proved to be the most reliable and customer-focused partner during my time with ADCRent, I ended up joining their affiliate programme and used them to organise travellers car rental deals tailored to their needs. As the number of messages increased, I decided to start Autorentwiz – a car rental consultancy company. Currently I am the only car rental expert here, but I really hope that in the future we will have a big team! 🙂
My values as a car rental expert
I always feel enormous responsibility when taking care of travellers car rental requests, because this is their holiday we are talking about! We all crave to see the world and bring back home great memories and I am always honoured that people trust me with this task.
When I was with ADCRent, the most important thing in car rental business is to be ready to help your clients at any stage of the process:
- Before the booking. How can people easily reach us without having to wait for an answer?
- During their holidays. How can we make sure that our customers can have the most stress free journey?
- After return of the car. How can ensure the customer that everything was alright upon their return?
This isn’t rocket science and our decisions and actions were fairly simple too. If we overcomplicate things ourselves then it is very likely that the customer will receive some those complications as well. For example, we greeted our clients with a free bottle of water, our cars had phone charges and phone holders and we had an automatic email informing the client that their rental car was returned and checked successfully.

My favourite car rental tip!
This one can work wonders at any location and at any time. Ask your car rental agent at the counter what kind of cars they currently have for you to choose from. Car rental companies use ACRISS (The Association of Car Rental Industry System Standards) car classification codes to distinguish different car manufactures and their models into broad categories. For example, if you book an Economy class car with 4-5 doors and manual unspecified drive the code for that car will be EDMR. There will be a dozen of different cars which can fall into this category. This is great, because rental companies like to prepare their cars for rent ahead of time meaning that when you come to pick up your car – there will be more than one car for you to choose from!
